sometimes sessions are cancelled due to members being away.

Lawn Bowls – Sunday 2.00pm; Tuesday 7.00pm (during Daylight Savings period)
Indoor Bowls – Tuesday 7.00pm autumn/winter or when wet
Petanque – Sunday and Thursday 10.00am except when raining

A full year’s subscription is just $100 to play any or all sports. Casual play is $5 per session.

We are a sociable club and do not compete in interclub competitions.  Members regularly get
together over potluck lunches, and an indoor (board and card) games evening is also held on the
first Thursday of each month. We have excellent facilities in our clubrooms, which can be hired
for functions or for regular use by groups.

The Heathcote Community Sports Club welcomes new members and casual players. Coaching
is freely given if you have not played before and all equipment is provided so come and give it a
try.

St. Mary’s Anglican Church

‘Snuggled in Heathcote Valley, this well maintained historic little church is one of Christchurch’s oldest church buildings. Its Victorian charm, warm totara interior and beautiful stained glass make for an unforgettable intimate gathering.’

‘At Heathcote – Mt.Pleasant Parish, we use the Anglican Prayerbook, with services supported by the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch, and supplemented with the teachings and lessons from our Vicar, Revd Mark Sullivan. Each week you’ll find the Biblically-based messages to be relevant to today’s world, and challenging to us as we travel Christ’s road together. Please look below for other opportunities to study and grow together in our understanding of God and in Jesus’ teachings for us.’

Heathcote Cricket Club

The Heathcote Cricket Club is nestled at the foot of the steep volcanic crags that form the northern edge of the Port Hills, just 8 kilometres southeast of Christchurch city centre.  Surrounded, on three sides by hills, we have one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in New Zealand.
We have several men’s teams and a women’s team, playing in the Christchurch Metropolitan Cricket Association, catering for all levels of ability.  As well as enjoying considerable success on the field, we pride ourselves on the social aspect of the game with all teams interacting and enjoying our facilities.  Our first team plays in the Senior ‘A’ grade.  The Junior section is extremely vibrant, with up to 100 juniors taking part in the Friday night ‘Have a Go’ sessions, and a number of teams representing the club in the Saturday morning competitions.
We enjoy active support from, and involvement with, our local community, and we also very much appreciate the relationships that we have developed with our local sponsors.’
