Heathcote Valley Community Library is run by local volunteers and provides a library service to the residents of the Heathcote, Horotane, Avoca Valleys and Mount Pleasant.

Its catalogue includes children’s, teen and adult books that can be borrowed for up to three weeks at a time.

Heathcote Valley Community Library operates independently of Christchurch City Libraries and has its own membership requirements and loan periods.

Opening hours
Mondays, Tuesday and Thursday: 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Wednesday: 11.00am-12.00pm (to coincide with community morning tea)
Fridays: 2.00pm – 6.00pm
Saturdays: 10.30am – 12.00pm
Sundays and Public Holidays: Closed

Membership
Free Lifetime Membership for children and adults.
